Comfort At My Table, Milton for breakfast

Girlishly pretty with plenty of old fashioned comfort is the only way to describe Milton's Comfort At My Table.

If you have fond memories of visiting grandma, nana or non, you'll love the ambiance but you'll also adore the food.

It's cooked from the heart by Nim who is passionate about her food.

We were there for breakfast and sampled eggs two ways.  K2 went for Green Eggs and Ham $10.80 while I tried Nim's Eggs $11.80.  The green eggs were definitely green, scrambled with a little pesto which gave plenty of colour but no overwhelming flavour,  a very pleasant combo. And the ham was good.

The banana chutney which accompanied Nim's eggs was divine and an unusual contrast to eggs.  It also went well with the flavorsome bacon.

I thought both the servings were generous for the price.

We sat outside which was very pleasant.  Inside there were some tables set for large groups which seemed to be assembling as we left at about 9am.

They open for breakfast on Saturdays at 8am - so you have to wait outside until then.
Saturday is a good time to visit the area as parking is always at a premium in Cribb Street.

Bottom line:  Good value, great taste breakfast.
