The Joynt, South Brisbane

You probably know The Joynt at South Brisbane as a great live music venue at night.

And it is, but during the day it moonlights as a cafe and does a very good job of it.

The service here is great - that's because my son is the manager. (Note: early declaration of family connection. :)  The Joynt menu has a strong focus on organic and free range meats and humanely raised meat, so if you like to eat with a conscience, this is the place for you!

The building is an old pub and the owners have wisely worked with the olde world theme with a collection of tables, chairs and couches that suggest this is a place to relax without too much fuss.  There's also a collection of board games if you need to fill in some time and a genuine refurbished Wurlizter juke box that plays tunes endlessly for free.

Comfy lounges and an outdoor dining area
Battleship anyone?
The dream team - Xander and Foss

Parking around here is at a premium but it's worth the effort. There are a small number of car parks at the back of the building, just behind the outdoor seating.

Bottom line: Say hello to Xander and tell him to be good to his mum.

    1. Thank you. So loving this. Did you get that blank look and 'oh, yes my mum' from him?

    2. And a blank look with a moment of recognition as he quoted the Pizza Hut "tip" and I had to get a little more blank... I think he doesn't sympathise with how hard your job must be!!!!
