Where to find a $3 glass of wine at Noosa



You won’t have to search too hard to find wine for $3 at Noosa Food & Wine 2016.

Just go to the Wine Tasting Quarter at Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa, off Hastings Street. It’s on Saturday, May 21 from 12 pm to 5 pm.

This is a chance to try new wine styles, discover great different wines and even give some of those varietals that you don’t like another chance.  There also will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and develop your wine knowledge.

Entry to the Wine Tasting Quarter is free and tokens can be purchased with $3 for three tastings or $6 for six tastings.

Expect to discover nearly 30 wine tasting options with a wide selection of wineries and wine merchants attending.

But there’s more! 

It’s not just about wine, with Champagne Masterclasses lead by champagne expert Bernadette O’Shea and wine expert Ken Gargett on Saturday from 12 noon to 1.30 pm and Sunday at 2 pm to 3.30pm.

These masterclasses costs $120 per person and includes two champagne tastings plus a plate of food samples paired with the champagnes.  The heavenly taste of good caviar leads the canapes list and the champagnes include:

  • Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut
  • Pol Roger Brut Réserve en magnum
  • Ruinart Brut Blanc de blancs
  • Louis Roederer vintage 2008
  • Jacquart Brut Rosé

Top tips 

* At the Wine Tasting Quarter, go to Chandon for bubbles, Riesling from Pizzini Wines and for something new, try the organic and preservative free wines from Raw Vine Estate.

* Enjoy a long lunch at the Noosa Street Feast, which will take over Hastings Street for the day, and then head to the Sheraton.
