French Twist
At French Twist, The Barracks, Petrie Terrace you'll be greeted with a Kir Royale followed by sweet and savoury canapés at French Twist, then a French wine tasting and tutorial by Stewart’s  and a screening of the appraised French film, Nannerl: Mozart’s Sister at Palace Cinema.  Tickets are $30.50 (plus $2.68 processing fee).

Drift Brookwater
The new Drift Brookwater is celebrating Bastille Day with a four course dinner, wines and live entertainment.

Owner David Moore has given his French born Executive Chef, Romain Bapst, carte blanch on the menu to celebrate his homelands' national day.

A celebration for the bon vivant, the menu starts with classic truffle soup, followed by a sea scallop gateau, then an exquisite main of beef tenderloin with foie gras and pinot noir sauce and finishes with a classic tarte tatin.

“Even though I have sourced almost all locally grown produce, this menu is quintessentially French, it reminds me so much of when I was chef in Alsace” said Romain who earned a Michelin star while a chef in France. Despite his best efforts and the desire to use local produce, Romain did find it more than a little tricky to find local truffles so these had to be imported.

“The entertainment will be flirtatious, romantic and seductive with a bit of cheekiness,” said David “In typical Drift style the night will combine fantastic food with sensational French inspired live music".
