Epicurean adventure without leaving Brisbane?

There’s something liberating about discovering that you don’t actually have to head to an airport, queue and fly for hours to enjoy the sort of food experience that rewards the soul.

That’s what excites me about this new offering from Emporium Hotel and Tartufo Restaurant. They are calling it the ultimate intimate culinary journey but it doesn’t actually go anywhere further than Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.

Here’s what you do. First check into the luxury of a King Spa Suite at Emporium Hotel and just leave the car with the valet. I’ve stayed here and it’s very lush.

Spend the afternoon enjoying a Cooking Masterclass with Tony Percuoco owner-chef of Tartufo (which is right next door), before sipping on a few cocktails in the Emporium Hotel Cocktail Bar.  Then it’s just a few simple steps to spend the evening at Tartufo dining at Percouco’s Chef’s Table on a custom-created degustation menu with premium wines to match each course.  Tony is the ultimate host and will ensure your evening is a memorable occasion.

Emporium Hotel recently won  Best Luxury Accommodation at the 2012 Australian Tourism Awards and Tony Percuoco’s Tartufo was hatted again at the 2013 Good Food Guide Awards.

You are obviously as excited about this as I am as the first Emporium Epicurean Adventure on June 15 is almost sold out.  Don’t worry, you can grab a spot on the next one on August 24.

The cost of this gourmet adventure is $595 per couple.  Find out more from events@emporiumhotel.com.au
