There are some who will say you're not really a Queenslander until you have been to the state's largest and most loved annual event, the Ekka!
Back for its 136th year from 8 to 17 August, The Ekka at the RNA Showgrounds in Bowen Hills is a combination of rides and showbags, fabulous food, 10,000 animals whose owners are hoping to win a prize and 23,000 competition entries, all viewed by more than 400,000 visitors.
