Lick my plate - Chilli jam doughnuts

Chilli jam doughnuts with avocado puree and mole sauce - sounds like a funny combo but it definitely works.

Find them at Cove, one of the flash new restaurants at River Quay, South Bank, as a starter. Yes, despite the sugar and chocolate they are savoury. 

Made from choux pastry, they are light, and filled with a sweet chilli jam, dusted with cinnamon and salt, then served on pureed avocado. The mol sauce is a savoury chocolate sauce from Mexico. Word is the sauce has a  long list of ingredients, including chillis, raisins, almonds and pepitas.
