Brisbane's Budget Bites

If you like to keep your dining out in budget then Brisbane's Budget Bites is your new bible.

Now in it's fourth year, this handy book includes 280 reviews on everything from cafes and breakfast spots to bakeries and providores.

Editor Mei Yen Chua has assembled a good cast of reviewers to assist with the belly-busting task of visiting and trying all the venues.  Interestingly budget bites does not mean lacking in quality or taste with Dandelion and Driftwood, voted as having Brisbane's best coffee, included.

As they are normally budget priced, there's more than a good selection of Asian style restaurants and other ethnic eateries also included in the book.  It's your opportunity to try a Taiwanese glutinous rice roll stuffed with deep fried bread or Sudanese creamy mashed fava beans followed by hot spiced tea.

This edition also includes reviews on Gold Coast budget bites.

Brisbane's Budget Bites 2012 (Swallow Books RRP $19.95) is an ideal companion to the 2012 Foodies Guide to Brisbane.
