The Boondall Entertainment Centre is now not only home to rock stars and comedy acts, but also to a new Sunday family market with over 400 stalls.

In an unusual move for markets there is a $1 entry fee for adults.

Boondall Market Coordinator Andrew Toumpas said he was aiming to make the  event one of South East Queensland’s leading markets with a family orientated atmosphere and an emphasis on shopping, eating and children’s entertainment.

The market includes a large area for vintage and handmade clothes, shoes and the latest in fashion accessories with over 200 stalls. Food on offer ranges from Dutch pancakes and German sausages, to Italian cuisine and gourmet calamari plus an extended range of fruit and vegetables, a delicatessen, fresh meats and poultry.

There’s a large, shaded seating area for a sit down breakfast or lunch and a free jumping castle, giant slides, clowns, entertainment and an arts and crafts section for the whole family.

The Brisbane North Family Market is located in car park 3 at the Boondall Entertainment Centre 6am – 2pm every Sunday. www.bnfm.com.au
