The largest deep red strawberries I have seen, dipped in dark, milk or white chocolate and decorated with chocolate sprinkles, nuts or coconut – what a feast for the eyes and taste buds.
They are known as Lush Berries and you’ll find them at The Rocks Market in Sydney. I bought one for $3.50 and enjoyed every morsel. The large strawberries are sourced from around Australia and hand dipped in chocolate. You can also have them delivered.
Located at the north end of George Street under the shadow of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in the historic Rocks, the markets are open every weekend and are filled with tourist stuff along with clothing and food. There’s more food in The Rocks Foodies Market on a Friday.
I found some great looking pretzels along with a selection of rolls and wraps.
The market is walkable from the city centre and not far from the Opera House and Circular Quay.
