Last night's Crave Sydney International Food Festival cocktail party launch at Zeta Bar also showcased the winning images in shoot the chef.Christopher Ireland's portrait of Cookery teacher Luciana Sampongna with her pasta headscarf was reminiscent of the old masters. Christopher won the professional section.
The student section was won by Henry Bois de Chese for a portrait of chef and restaurant owner Hassan M' Souli with his daughter both wearing chef jackets and opening tagines.
Crave is a month long festival where you can taste your way around Sydney's hot spots. There are tours, classes, night markets, a street barbecue and talks.
The festival opens with the World Chef Showcase at the Hilton Hotel on 1 - 2 October which I will be attending.
There's also a regional focus with dinners, lunches and tours.
