Look out for Neha at Regional Flavours

Remember Brisbane's 2013 Masterchef contestant Neha Sen?

Few could forget those big brown eyes and her lively personality but it's her Indian-inspired food range that you find yourself remembering from this year's visit to Regional Flavours at South Bank this weekend (July 19 and 20).

Neha's Indian Inspired, which includes ice creams, a dairy-free sorbet and a frozen yoghurt, is her new brand. You'll find it amongst the 100 or so producer stalls at Regional Flavours.

“Since being on the show I’ve been working really hard to make my dream of an Indian-inspired food range a reality and I’m so excited to now be able to bring my new range of ice creams and chutneys to Queensland," Neha says.

"The ice cream flavours are my own special take on Indian and Australian ingredients, and my chutneys re-invent some classic Indian flavours. Chutney and ice cream were key parts of my Masterchef audition dish, so it is wonderful to now be able to share with Queenslanders, the foods that launched my Masterchef journey and changed my life!”

The chutneys are inspired by those produced by her Mum, Nana and Aunties for generations, created to complement every delicious meal. The warm, rich flavours bring Neha’s childhood food memories of India to life, and at the same time creating new memories for those living in her adopted country.

The range includes tomato chutney with a twist, a sweet fig chutney with a little heat and a Bengal-inspired pineapple chutney.  Ice creams include spiced orange chocolate, coconut lemon myrtle and macadamia, and caramom with a fresh ginger and lime sorbets and mango and honey lassi frozen yoghurt.

The products will be available from her stand and from a carefully selected but growing list of retailers around Brisbane, the Gold and Sunshine Coasts straight after the show or visit her Neha website.

Neha says the ice creams have won medals at the Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards. Lemon Myrtle won a gold and all the rest a silver. She is waiting on the decisions on the chutney.
