The Gap Farmers' Market - I went and I saw

Today Brisbane's The Gap joined the growing band of suburbs with a farmers' market.

It's located in the playing fields of the Gap State Primary School on Waterworks Road, accessed of Settlement Road in a large open area.

Organised by The Gap Resident's Association, an independent, not-for-profit group focused on enhancing The Gap and Erica and John Parker of Moggill Markets, there's over 70 stalls of all types of produce, food and gift lines.

You'll find many of your favorites from other markets at The Gap including The Goat Pie Man, Brathaus with the bacon and egg rolls plus organic farmers and pastured eggs, herbs and hand creams, local seafood and Tasmanian lamb.

It's an easy market to navigate but is filled with strollers and young children as is to be expected when held on the grounds of a primary school.

Hopefully locals will be able to cope with the parking issues which include people parking on both sides of small streets and way to close to the corner at intersections.  What were  they thinking?

The market will operate on the second and fourth Sundays of the month and opens at 6.30 am.

Here's what I saw -
