Two markets coming up at South Bank should be on all foodie's calendars. On March 15 the growers from the Granite Belt are coming to town. I've been a regular at this one and purchased wine, cheese, jam (lots of jam), biscuits, tofu (when I was early enough), apples and apple juice, the best muesli and more. I am addicted to some of these products and would line up for many.
Two weeks later, on March 29, growers from the Gold Coast and Scenic Region will be bringing their wares to South Bank. This should be particularly interesting as it's a first for this district. They have a wealth of fine produce which I am looking forward to trying. Hopefully avos are still in season and they'll be plenty to pick up.
