Two Sisters Pizza, Auchenflower

I wish we were eating here, I thought, reading the window menu.

Thin, crisp based pizzas with lots of topping sounded fabulous, but we were heading around the corner for dinner. Wrong! K2 walked straight into Two Sisters while I was still salivating on the doorstep.

Located next door to Chalk & Cheese, just around the corner from Milton Road, Two Sisters is indeed run by two sisters on the site formerly operated by Wild Pepper.

The pizzas have a thin base, made daily, and topped with market fresh ingredients. It's all about the toppings and generous toppings at that, lightly topped with locally made mozzarella, fresh herbs and a hint of garlic.

Our group of five ordered four medium pizzas and one small, accompanied by two salads.  We were all impressed by the flavours and quantity of toppings on the pizza. Prices range from around $11 for small pizzas, around $15 for medium and around $20 for large.

I particularly enjoyed the pumpkin salad which was delicious.

The pizza menu is extensive with seafood, meat and vegetarian options and also gluten free pizza bases and vegan cheese available.

Although we didn't, you should try to save room for some of the dessert pizzas available  in fresh strawberry banana or pear and blueberry, all with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Bottom line: Great tasting pizzas with lotsa toppings.Good value.
